En lugar de intentar esforzarnos m\u00e1s, es mucho m\u00e1s productivo organizar nuestra vida para <strong>no tener que estar decidiendo todo el rato<\/strong>. Decidir cansa. Negociar contigo misma cada ma\u00f1ana cansa. Preguntarte si hoy haces ejercicio, si meditas, si ordenas los armarios, si lees ese libro que est\u00e1 a medias, si contestas o no a ese mensaje pendiente, <strong>es agotador<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un h\u00e1bito es, en el fondo, una decisi\u00f3n que ya no tienes que volver a tomar. Si haces la cama todos los d\u00edas nada m\u00e1s levantarte, llega un momento en que te cuesta m\u00e1s no hacerla que hacerla. Gracias a haber generado el h\u00e1bito, tu cuerpo ya ha aprendido la secuencia: levantarse, estirar la s\u00e1bana y colocar la almohada. <strong>No hay debate interior<\/strong>. Ni siquiera tienes ya que hacerte la remolona. Simplemente lo haces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Generar un h\u00e1bito es algo que al principio <strong>requiere intenci\u00f3n, atenci\u00f3n y cierto esfuerzo<\/strong>, y que, con la repetici\u00f3n, se va instalando en el cuerpo. Primero tienes que acordarte de hacerlo. Luego tienes que empujarte un poco. Despu\u00e9s empiezas a hacerlo con menos resistencia. Y un d\u00eda descubres que ya forma parte de tu rutina de vida. Es como cerrar la puerta con llave, lavarte los dientes o hacerte un caf\u00e9. La mayor\u00eda de las veces haces todo esto sin pensarlo ni esforzarte. Seg\u00fan la investigaci\u00f3n, <strong>repetimos m\u00e1s o menos el 40 % de nuestra conducta a diario<\/strong>. As\u00ed que nuestros h\u00e1bitos conforman nuestra existencia. Con lo que, si cambiamos nuestros h\u00e1bitos, cambiamos nuestras vidas. Es casi milagroso\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Y eso de que un h\u00e1bito se crea en 21 d\u00edas es un mito. Ojal\u00e1. Pero no es as\u00ed. El estudio m\u00e1s citado sobre h\u00e1bitos, liderado por Phillippa Lally, encontr\u00f3 que una conducta nueva tardaba, de media, unos <strong>66 d\u00edas en volverse autom\u00e1tica<\/strong>. Consolidar un h\u00e1bito requiere repetici\u00f3n, acoplarlo al contexto y mucha paciencia. Algunas personas abandonan el proceso justo cuando el h\u00e1bito est\u00e1 empezando a construirse. Se saltan un d\u00eda y piensan: \u201cYa lo he estropeado\u201d. Pero no. <strong>Saltarse un d\u00eda no arruina el proceso<\/strong>. La clave est\u00e1 en volver a repetirlo enseguida y sostenerlo en el tiempo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As\u00ed que, si quieres cambiar algo, empieza por una acci\u00f3n m\u00ednima. Dos minutos de respiraci\u00f3n. Cinco l\u00edneas escritas. Diez sentadillas. Preparar la ropa del gimnasio. No mirar el m\u00f3vil nada m\u00e1s levantarte. Hinchar las ruedas de la bicicleta la noche anterior\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Si muchos de nuestros automatismos fueron aprendidos, podemos aprender otros nuevos y liberar as\u00ed mucha energ\u00eda gastada en batallas mentales. Se trata de dejar de ser reh\u00e9n del \u201cme apetece\u201d y empezar a <strong>vivir desde el \u201cesto me importa\u201d<\/strong>.
